TURNER CLASSIC MOVIES “Now Showing”

I was asked by commercial studio xo/Exopolis to help out in a rebranding for Turner Classic Movies. They were creating a new bumper that reflected the film noir mood that the studio specialized in curating. They specifically asked me to produce textures for a 3D environment that was reminiscent of the work of American painter Edward Hopper (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edward_Hopper) a personal favorite of mine.

Exopolis sent me unwrapped 3D model geometry and I used a mixture of digital painting software ArtRage and Adobe Photoshop to create a dirty and tangible-looking oil texture, that was then reapplied to the 3D models by the studio and animated.
